Social responsibility is voluntary; it
is about going above and beyond what is
generally expected of a company. It is about
holding a group, organization or company
accountable for its effect on people within
the company, people working with the company
and the community the company is in.
eBrand Media relocated to Portland, Oregon,
in 2006, because we believe that the city
and its populace support our convictions
and our sentiments. Portland is renowned
for its clean air, outdoor activities, land-use
controls, world class public transportation
system and its environmentally conscious
residents.
As a result of our symbiotic relationship
with the Rose City, we're proactive in our
societal role:
We're invested in the community. We continue
to work with the homeless and the disenfranchised
because our sentiments are such that the
life of one person is worth more than any
and all of the talk about social responsibility.
The feeling we get from helping others is,
quite literally, beyond words.
We provide opportunities and incentives
to eBrand Media employees for the purpose
of motivating them to adopt healthier lifestyles
and to engage in environmental efforts.
As a result, they're actively involved in
many different ways and they're a positive
force in their communities.
We strive to leave a minimal carbon footprint.
We've invested in data-sharing and teleconferencing
systems so that our employees can telecommute.
Monthly incentives are given to employees
and executives who ride bikes or take mass
transit to our offices. In addition, we'll
only travel from Portland to other cities
if a client or a prospective client insists.
We've implemented a comprehensive recycling
program to separate and dispose of paper,
plastic and public waste.
The majority of our office supplies are
made of recycled, biodegradable, compostable
material.
Our employees use Energy-Star rated PCs,
laptops, Macs and multi-function copiers
with advanced power management tools for
the purpose of conserving power.
eBrand Media commemorates each new business
partnership with the planting of a tree
in that company's name. We believe that
someday, as a result of our core values
and our relationship-oriented approach to
business, we'll have planted a forest.
